I can't believe it. It's been 9 days that we don't have internet connection. What agony! No blogging. No email connection with friends. No way of looking out my virtual window to the world. Well, that was 3 days ago.
Then, the Lord told me "Just imagine what agony I feel when you do not connect with Me." Ouch! I said "I'm sorry, Lord, for the times that I do not connect with You." It became a time of renewing commitment to faithfully spend time with the Lord.
How many times have you told the Lord "I'm busy." It maybe with your family, work, business, sports, car, friends, or even church ministry. Too busy that you don't have time to pray, study the Bible or go to church?
We just don't get it. We miss daily devotion and going to church. Why? Because we miss the fact that God longs to fellowship with us - personally and collectively as a body of believers. To have fellowship with us is one of the reasons why Jesus appeared to give us life and that the disciples of Jesus continue to proclaim this Good News courageously.
"The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We write this to make our joy complete." ~ 1 John 1:2-4
See, our joy will never be complete if we say we have Jesus in our life yet do not have fellowship with Him. Being in the presence of God is the most important place that we can ever be. No wonder David says in Psalm 23:6
"Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."
Do you need a connection? or reconnection? Spend time to have fellowship with God and with other believers.
